This is CNN right?

One of the most insidious effects of the emergence of the 24-hour news cycle has been the use of non-experts in the role of experts. CNN does this all the time and it drives me bonkers. The Onion does a great job of making fun of it, and the should because the use of reporters as pannel experts is misleading and useless as a news format. This is why I love the Onion, not only are edgy and funny, but they attack a lot of salient points that most candy-assed corporate journalists are too scared to take on.

The pendulum has begun to swing back in the news world from extreme corporatism to more community based jouralism, and the huge international conglomerates are going to find it increasingly difficult to turn a profit off of news. This is good news for the common man. But we, the American News consumers, might have to wait quite a long time before the industry finally reaches its nadir and is forced to reform. So, until that glorious day, we will have to watch reporters pretend like they know what the fuck they are talking about on any number of issues Check it out what I'm talking about.
