The democratic nightmare

Well kids, Scott Brown has won Massachusetts senate seat. I hope I'm wrong about the republicans gridlocking the wheels of government, but I doubt it. Whether this reform or another one goes through, the numbers don't lie. Americans are paying far too much for healthcare that is adequate only for the middle and upper class. I can't see how anything is going to get done now that the republicans have the power to torpedo any reform. The total beligerence shown on both sides during the health care debate makes me think that the United States might be entering into political paralysis at a time when it can ill afford it. I guess I should start studying up on my Chinese. Ni hao benevolent Chinese overlords! Yes, that should be a good start.

  1. This is not a nightmare, but merely a spark of light down the tunnel of economic ruin the Dems are pushing this coutry down. The healthcare reform is so unpopular that Dem senators knew that thier seats would be very dificult to hold if they voted for it. The people of this country have spoken and they said we don't want to go down the road Obama is leading us down. The proposed changes are not the ones we need. The government does not need control over our heathcare. Free market economy and capitalism is the best way to go for economic success. Some reform is needed not control. Chinese would be a good language to learn anyways. Thier economy and ours hold each other up at times. China is a major holder of our debt, they have alot to lose if we go under. Oh and on another note I have a machine that allows me to see into an alternate reality. I saw a reality where Ron Paul won the Presidency, and the country wasn't in recession or war.I feel pity on all you who voted for a young inexperienced senator with no qualifications for the job other than being an eliteist, socialist, communist supporting, anticapitalist, monarch. You made this bed and we all have to sleep in it, thanks.

  2. He did however bring up the issue of health-care reform, and no president has had the balls to do that since Clinton. I hope that debate continues on health care even though this plan may be dead. Something has got to be done to control costs, there is no excuse for paying more for healthcare than anyone else and have the 25th highest life expectancy.

  3. He did bring up the issue but he had no plan for it. He never had a plan, and the plan they have now wasn't his idea. He has no experience in making the types of decisions required to fix any of this countries problems. I think the debate will go on, and I think the changes that we will see are the ones that come from the other side of the isle. I think your statistics are misleading and is not a per capita value. We have the greatest level of healthcare of any country in the World and that can not be disputed. If you can afford to live a long life than most likely you will. Homeless people don't get the luxury to live to 100, thats the way it is. The costs are high I would agree, but perhaps thats the cost of being a World leader in research and developement for the best technology out there. Yes the insurance companies screw us over, that is an issue that needs to be fixed. Not fixed by Government run healthcare! Thats insane!
