Let the clusterfuck begin!!

Well, if the Democrats this senate race in Massachusetts they will lose their filibuster proof super majority in the senate and Americans can officially look forward to an agonizing gridlock in government for the next three years. I Hope America doesn't need to raise taxes or make new laws any time soon.

  1. The pols are in and the country may yet be saved by crazy left wing socialist Dems. Wish we could have stopped all the damage done so far. What raise taxes!! Thats right Obama wants to raise taxes, apparently he thinks he can pay for his follies with tax dollars. As far as making new laws is concerned, its good that they have to negotiate to get things through. With one side able to push anything through we have utter disaster and the systems fail.

  2. My fear is that there can be no negotiation at this point. Capital hill seems to be so polarized that there can be no hope of effective governance while Obama is in office. And anyway you slice it, we can't afford to just shut down. This is exactly what threatens to happen. Also, in case you're not up on your depression era history, the course that the enlightened and learned Mr. Paul recommends is exactly the course of action Herbert Hoover took in 1929-1930. That is restricting the money supply during a time of depression. I can't believe some one who claims to be an economic scholar would want to repeat one of the worst policy blunders in history.

Those "communists" may have just saved our asses as far as the current depression is concerned, and the ungrateful swine conservatives are going to reap the benefits of Obama's decisive action, while while blocking any piece of legislation he sets forward.

Government must continue, and Obama has been so radical in pushing his agenda I just don't know if it will now.

  3. There never was ANY chance of effective governance with Obama in office. He was not qualified for the job to start off with. To his credit he was a good speaker. I hope the trend isn't set to give the Presidency to the most electrifying speaker or camera friendly. Maybe Alec Baldwin for the Dems in the next race?
