And the apocalypse cometh

More activity from the Russian military-industrial complex today Russia is selling anti-aircraft missiles to Iran so they can shoot Israeli aircraft out of the sky if they try to take out Iran's nuclear program. This should actually prove to be entertaining in the long run. Eventually the long running enmity between Iran and Israel will probably come to fruition. And, when it does, it will pit a much larger re-armed nuclear Iran against against tiny little Israel with all of its state of the art weaponry and nukes. Iran is sitting on some of the most coveted real estate in the world and it knows it. I disagree with nuclear proliferation, and think it's a shame that other world powers are facilitating it for selfish political objectives. But that's Politics. The U.S.'s objectives are no less selfish.

No matter which side of the debate one is on, I think this statement, while inflammatory is true. The re-emergence of Russia as a major military industrial power bodes very ill for US interests abroad. It seems likely that it will re-ignite a long cold war with nuclear war being one of many unpalatable consequences.

  1. This troubles me. I would agree that perhaps down the road we may be looking at another cold war. I dont see how the sell of anything to Iran can be good for the World. Isreal should also have seen this comming. With Isreal selling weapons to Georgia and Ukraine they should have known that Russia would be pissed. Atleast the weapons deals are above the table. The World does not need all the drama of more wars. I think the current wars are more than enough at this time. In order to obtain peace the World may need to make sacrifices. I propose the sacrifice and obliteration of Iran to get peace. Iran is the only problem that seems to not want to play ball nice. Letting go a few nukes and turning Iran into a glass parking lot may be the only way.

  2. That would waste a lot of oil joe. In addition to the huge mass of Iranians who just want to live in peace despite the fact that their government does not.
